What Are SuperFlex Roles?
SuperFlex roles in our Patrol team offer a higher base salary in return for greater flexibility.

SuperFlex roles are designed for those who can offer greater flexibility, with rotas shared closer to the time than in standard Patrol roles. This responsiveness helps us adapt quickly to changing demand and ensures we’re always there when drivers need us most.

What Will I Be Doing?
As part of the Patrol team with SuperFlex, you could…
💰 Earn a base salary of £53,720 with average earnings from £54,000 to £58,000
🛞 Start and finish from your driveway, with expenses paid for occasional travel beyond your home zone.
📍 Help out stranded drivers within a 100km towing radius
🔧 Make repairs where possible at the roadside to get drivers moving again
👍 Giving exceptional customer service, helping out people in difficult situations

What we’re looking for
You’re more than a mechanic. You’re a trusted source of expert knowledge and recommendations on the customer’s doorstep. Whether you’re visiting the customer’s home or even in a workplace carpark, you stay calm under pressure and confident in your craft.
You thrive on variety. One job might be diagnosing a fault, the next carrying out a full service – no two jobs are the same. You’ll be equipped and ready for every appointment, with the tools, tech, and support to get the job done.
You think on your feet. You’ll be trusted to represent the RAC among our driver community and deliver garage-quality service to each customer. Different jobs, different faces, new challenges every day.
You’ll need:
A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)- At least 2 years’ post qualification experience across technical, electrical and diagnostic
A full UK driver’s licence
A customer-focused approach- ⚡ The flexibility to be available at short notice
